Personal:
Ms. Buer joined the firm in July 2024, after relocating to Chattanooga from coastal Alabama.

Prior to her career as an attorney, Ms. Buer was a middle school teacher in Baton Rouge, LA. She subsequently earned her J.D. at LSU Law, where she was elected to the executive boards of both the Public Interest Law Society and Family Law Society. Ms. Buer was also selected as a policy fellow for the Orleans Parish School Board through the Urban Leaders Fellowship of New Orleans and held a judicial externship at the 19th Judicial District Family Court of East Baton Rouge Parish.

After graduating, Ms. Buer was a trial attorney with the Florida Department of Children and Families, where she served as first chair in over 15 trials. She managed large caseloads of dependency actions, including Termination of Parental Rights trials.

Ms. Buer transitioned to private practice as a civil litigation attorney with the largest women-owned law firm in the United States. Her practice included insurance disputes, construction litigation, professional malpractice defense, and premises liability matters for clients, including the largest global retailer by revenue.

Since joining the firm, Ms. Buer continues to primarily practice civil litigation and has enjoyed expanding her practice to include estate planning, commercial, and corporate law. Ms. Buer also handles civil rights litigation, including defamation and discrimination matters.
